Severe weather caused severe damage to many property owners’ homes and places of business over Sunday night, April 12 and into Monday morning, April 13. Local meteorologists had prepared the area for potential downed trees, heavy rains, and the possibility of a tornado putting viewers into action to minimizing the risk to their loved ones overnight. A tornado was also confirmed to have touched down in Alamance County causing damage to homeowners as they slept through the night.
